CHARLOTTE, Michigan, January 24, 2005 – Spartan Chassis, a subsidiary of Spartan Motors, Inc. (Nasdaq: SPAR), is hosting a three-day training conference for fire truck dealer partners and apparatus builders in Las Vegas from January 24th -26th.
“The dealer training conference is an opportunity for us to cultivate relationships and generate new product ideas with dealers, OEM’s and other affiliates in the firefighting industry,” said Richard Schalter, president of Spartan Chassis.
Over 100 fire truck dealers, dealership owners and apparatus builders from the U.S. and Canada are gathered in Las Vegas to view the latest product and service innovations and enhancements for 2005. This is the third consecutive year Spartan has hosted the conference, which continues to grow and has become a cornerstone for dealer training and communication.
The dealer training conference serves to establish direct lines of communication between Spartan Chassis, OEM’s and dealers. These ties are vital to the Spartan Chassis business model because Spartan is the leading manufacturer of chassis and cabs that are integrated with OEM’s finished trucks. Spartan’s unique manufacturing structure allows multiple OEM’s to integrate a wide range of chassis and cab options with specific fire apparatus. This flexible design approach creates chassis and cab combinations unique to each OEM and offers dealers' selling options to meet the needs of departments of all sizes.
The conference also offers an opportunity to recognize dealer and dealership owners’ sales and service achievements. Spartan will be honoring the 23 top dealers and dealership owners from each North American region for their excellent performance. They will be recognized and awarded during a dinner ceremony on the final day of the conference.
New to the conference this year, Spartan has invited author and motivational speaker T. Scott Gross to present his principles of exceptional customer service, detailed in his latest book entitled “Positively Outrageous Service.”
