CHARLOTTE, Michigan, May 28th, 2004—Over 400 motorhome owners whose coaches are built on a Spartan will be heading to Charlotte, Michigan, the birthplace of their chassis, to attend the Spartan Chassis Homecoming event Tuesday June 1st through Friday June 4th. This year, Spartan changed the name of the event from the “Spartan Chassis Club Rally” to “Spartan Homecoming” to reflect the experience that customers have at the event.
“The loyalty of those customers that return every year to attend Spartan’s Homecoming reflects the dedication and commitment that is an essential part of Spartan’s company culture,” said Richard Schalter, President of Spartan Chassis.
Spartan Chassis is unique in that the company has been hosting rallies for their customers long before motorhome manufacturers and other chassis builders caught on to the rally trend. Over 15 years ago, Spartan held it’s first rally when they recognized an opportunity to connect with their customers while providing individualized service. Since then, the event has expanded into a fun-filled, four-day Spartan Homecoming where owners can attend a range of classes that cover vehicle maintenance and internal coach care. They will also participate in a variety of activities including plant tours, craft lessons and information sessions, cooking demonstrations and martial arts classes. Various vendors are going to be on site to offer their services and provide products for purchase. Popular events of past rallies include off-site dinner theater outings and riverboat cruises.
